AGL plays a prominent role in the Upper Hunter, not only as a major economic contributor and employer but also as an active partner in the growth, sustainability, and diversity of our community.
Each year we proudly partner with a variety of Upper Hunter organisations, our councils and regional leaders to make a valuable and lasting contribution to our region.
Through our Community Sponsorship Program, AGL Macquarie proudly supports a variety of organisations that make valuable contributions to local Hunter communities. Our aim is to enhance quality of life for people in the Hunter region; and to encourage good citizenship amongst our employees.
If your local organisation seeks support for upcoming activities or events, apply via our application form. Your application will go to an advisory committee, which meets regularly to assess applications and allocate support.
We also operate a Community Dialogue Group with representatives from local Indigenous organisations, councils, business and our neighbours. The group meets quarterly to discuss AGL operations and plans in the Upper Hunter.

We are proud of our safety record at AGL Macquarie. To help us maintain our high standards, we ask that all visitors to Bayswater power station complete an online induction. This guides you through the rules you must follow while onsite.
All Visitor Induction requests for Bayswater should be emailed to contractors1@agl.com.au – induction details will then be emailed back.
With Liddell Power Station now in a decommissioning phase, access to site is limited and will only be provided on an ‘as needs’ basis.
